The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and the Legon Hub for International Issues and Diplomacy (LECIAD) will on Friday April 27, 2022, hold a people lecture on Ghana’s tenure at the United Nations Stability Council (UNSC). Typically the lecture will be held at the LECIAD Auditorium, the University of Ghana at 3 PM HOURS on the theme “Collective Security in a Changing International World Order: A Overview of Ghana’s Tenure at the UN Security Authorities, 2022-2023”
The Phone speaker is the Particular Adviser to the Minister for Overseas Affairs, Ambassador Kwabena Osei-Danquah. An experienced career diplomat, Mister. Osei-Danquah was Cocinero de Cabinet to the President of the 73rd procedure of the ESTE General Assembly. Ghana was elected to the UN Stability Council as a non-permanent member in June 2021 to serve a two-year term from Jan 2022 to 12 2023. This will be the finally time Ghana is sitting on the Council, the only arm of the UN with the authority to matter binding resolutions on member states. Ghana’s last tenure was in 2006-2007 when President Akufo-Addo was Foreign Minister.
