  Shatta Wale Begs For Mercy From IGP After Disrupting The Meeting

 Ghanaian dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, was on Wednesday morning asked to render apologize to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo-Dampare, for causing disruptive scenes during an ongoing conversation with the stakeholders in the creative industry.

The singer and songwriter, Shatta Wale  reportedly to have rudely causes interruption to the conference as soon as he entered into the auditorium with colleague Stonebwoy.


The ‘Borjor’ hitmaker was however dragged out of the auditorium by some police officials after he did that to the Police boss over the seizure of his phone. An Accra Circuit Court on Tuesday has already ordered the police to release the phones of Shatta Wale and his accomplices when they were arrested in October.

It is unknown what might have gingered his action, but according to Joy Entertainment’s Ibrahim Ben-Bako, Shatta Wale was heard shouting, “what do you mean?”, “you think I can’t take my phone?”

They pleaded on Shatta Wale’s behalf to COP Nathan Kofi Boakye not to escalate the matter. The musician was asked to join the meeting later. The Inspector-General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, called for a meeting with the creative arts industry to engage them on how they can collaborate to work together.
